Queensland Reds Players coming to Goondiwindi for Opening Junior Carnival
3 Queensland Reds Players will be coming to Goondiwindi this weekend to promote the Opening Junior Carnival for the Darling Downs. Goondiwindi's Opening Carnival has been one of Downs Rugby's largest events for many years and will be boosted by the attendance of Queensland Reds players Sef Fa'agase, Chris Feauai-Sautia and Markus Vanzatti. These Reds and Wallaby capped players are arriving in Goondiwindi on Friday night to meet with the club and players before attending the Junior Carnival on Saturday.
These players along with Queensland Rugby Union staff will be running an Under 8 tackle clinic to educate juniors on the safety and technique when coming into their first year of tackling. This free tackle clinic will give the Under 8 players a foundation of tackling knowledge to build upon throughout the season.
Come out to Goondiwindi this weekend to meet the Queensland Reds players and watch a Rugby packed Saturday from 8:30am right through until the Senior Men, Goondiwindi Emus verse the Condamine Cods and Chinchilla River Rats from 1:15pm onward. This weekend is not to be missed.
