Expressions of Interest are now open for the 2026 Downs Rugby Representative Program.
As part of the next stage of our development as a region, Downs Rugby is building a more structured and values-led representative program, designed to strengthen coach development, improve alignment across teams and enhance the experience we deliver to players.
We invite Expressions of Interest from coaches and team staff across boys’, girls’, men’s and women’s programs, including:
• Head Coaches
• Assistant Coaches
• Team Managers
• Trainers
Key 2026 campaigns include:
📍 Senior SQ Camp – Brisbane (30-31 May)
📍 Junior Queensland Country Championships – Townsville (June/July)
📍 Premier 7s - Caslick Cup & Stannard Shield (Oct/Nov)
📍 Queensland State 7s – Brisbane (November)

Founded in 1964, this year marks the 60th anniversary of the coveted Risdon Cup.
Downs Rugby is also proud to run competitions for over 100 clubs and school teams across the Darling Downs region.
