Have you thought about becoming a referee but don’t know what it involves or what to do? It is quite simple, and you don’t need to have played the game before. You do need some passion for rugby, and a desire to give something to the game. You will be provided with training, guidance, a uniform and a whistle with a referee coach to see you through.
The Darling Downs Rugby Referees Association (DDRRA) appoints match officials to all matches run by Downs Rugby for representative, teenage and senior competition games, school and junior unions.
If you would like to become a referee or simply to know more about the DDRRA, please contact a member of the DDRRA Committee who would be thrilled to speak to you.
