10 week Girls Development Squad Training > 18 January to 22 March

2 x Skills sessions each week incorporating both 7s & XVs
Wednesdays 5-6pm & Sundays 3-4pm @ Queens Park, Toowoomba
Open to ALL CLUBS
Open to all Girls U12 – U17
This program is about building on the momentum of our 7s program by engaging with interested girls. Giving them the opportunity to try XVs, build their confidence, skills & open their eyes to new opportunities, while having fun with their peers and building networks within the rugby community.

Carnivals
Every 2nd Weekend
Starts after 1 April (in line with our new Women’s XV’s program) Term 2
Aim to give game time and skills development prior to SQ Champs (26-28 May)
Align Carnival’s with women’s competition to offer education & development opportunities.
Align Carnival’s with teen boys or men’s comp where possible to add to culture development goals.

5 x Girls Development Squad Tournaments > 11 June to 6 August

Sundays @ Gold Coast
U12s, U14s, U16s (allowing for dispensations – paperwork required)
This opportunity is about building on the momentum of our XVs program as we head toward our 7s rep season
Provides opportunity for valuable game time & to build confidence & skills as we work toward putting our Downs Team together for the Girls 7s State Champs in September

Aim to give opportunities to experience the 7s format of our game & have fun with all levels of experience encouraged
